Kathleen Coggins has taught all levels of public education since 1994. She is known for her use of diverse media, which includes graphite, charcoal, pastel, pen and ink, acrylic, oil, papermaking, printmaking, pottery, mosaic design, and any mixed media she can get her hands on. Besides her love of art Kathleen’s other passions include her family (both the two and four legged members), home, music, cooking, and a true love of nature. She received her B.A. in Art Education and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Anna Maria College in 1997. She finished her Master’s Studies in education at Framingham State College. Kathleen taught at the high school level for nine years before leaving to work full time in her own studio.
Currently she operates Wild Vine Studios, which she opened in 2001. She conducts small classes for children, teens and adults while producing commissioned works, interior murals, as well as offering matting and framing services. Kathleen was born in, and continues to reside in Massachusetts. Both her home and studio are on the beautiful Claire Birtz Wildlife Sanctuary where she co-exists with her husband, children, stepchildren, three dogs, three cats, three frogs and two tortoises… but who’s counting.
